btw...the version I am carrying is the old version...the back of the card is the magnetic strip kind....need to go change to those smart chip kind...troublesome.

SingTel is pleased to announce that as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our public payphone service, we will be upgrading our payphone network. Payphones using the magnetic technology since 1985 will be replaced by those using chip card technology.
Customers can, however, continue to use their magnetic strip phonecards until 31st December 2006.
Chip phonecards are now available at all SingPost branches, 7-Eleven stores and retail outlets with the 'SingTel Chip Phonecard' signage.
