  i am currently w/o a phone nor a mp3 player.
  i am thinking of selling my laptop and buy a mp3cumCamera phone + DIY computer.
  shud i do that?

  they are quite constructive, but u're not listening. you must see how much your laptop is worth but i'd say you have a rather tight budget. 1k for computer + monitor (if u dun hav) and the remainding for phone.

  this guy bought a hp lappy that cost 3200, and then sold it to my uncle a month later for only 1600, originally they agreed on 1800, but my uncle said he'd pay cash and on the spot, so they finally settled at 1600.. frigging good deal. computer in perfect condition, working very well even until now, that was 2-3 years ago.

  what is so funny about someone with no phone,not everyone in singapore is as well off as most are or maybe his current phone is just spoilt or stolen.I hope you will be in some situation in future where you do not have something common most have and get laughed at.

  And to thread starter,your laptop is IBM R50e,sounds very familar.If i am not wrong,is it the free laptop that is given out when you signed up a singnet broadband service.That is because my sister just signed up for that and got a R50 series laptop.If that is so,selling that will definately not bring you enough $$$ to buy what you wanted in exchange for the laptop.
