Do employers look at your poly grades when employing you?

  I know quite a few employers who do. And they do it all the way to PSLE scores. And they're not government, they're MNCs.

  most do not look at grades. Its the intrvw that counts.

  MNCs will ask for your certs and transcipts(yes, for some all the way to your PSLE cert, so remember to bring it or they might not even want to meet you ), and make 3 copies of them first before they start their interview.

  mine just ask to see my diploma and when I started work for a few months...then ask for a photocopy of the diploma for documentation purposes.

  I think it all really depend on the company you are going for interview. If you are going for civil service sector, certs and transcripts are mandatory items. That is how the gahmen sector works. Qualification is the holy grail.
  
  If you are going for private sector, there will be more variance. For small companies sometimes they focus more on your previous work experience. Certs will be a bonus cuz when small companies wanna deal with some gahmen official agencies it is best to send a representative that can communicate well.
  
  For MNC it is pretty much same as gahmen sector. The reason being a lot of big projects are thrown out by the gahmen to boost economy. And when at first impression, it reflect on the company image and confidence.
  
  So there you have it. Gahmen sector, small companies aka SME and MNC

  This is the most ideal basis when employing, however employers shld also note that it could be a career change that the applicant is asking so he/she may not necessarily have the experience but will to start fresh.

  Grades will matter when you are negotiating pay.
  
  Once they see your grades are mediocre, they will negotiate and push for a lower salary.
  
  Better grades, likely they may offer you more.
