Erm.. so whats the original extension of the file found in the temp internet files folder? thanks^^Originally posted by zoik:Xcert's version always works because youtube downloads the file to your computer and plays whats been cached/streamed.
Once the stream is finished the whole file is actually on your computer in the cache, in the location that Xcert indicates.
( On the pc for example: C:\Documents and Settings\FireIce\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files )
You need to figure out where the cache is on the Mac (because I cannot remember right now, but Xcert had it correctly, and VLC is also highly recommnded) but the same technique should work.
This works best with the Internet Explorer browser because Firefox handles the cache differently and you cannot easily access it, nor the files contained within.
The files are Flash movie files, called FLV's, and you can download the free FLV player from here: http://www.flvplayer.com/
Just rename the extension to each file you copy from the cache to ".flv"
no extension.Originally posted by silv3rgal:Erm.. so whats the original extension of the file found in the temp internet files folder? thanks^^
its OK....different people different strokes...Originally posted by XciteZ:I prefer downloading it then converting it to video as I get to choose the video format. Somemore I using Firefox, I can multiview different video at the same time while I downloading. HAha. Thanks dude for sharing the information.
