I bought a goods vehicle in my name in January 2002 for my business. In July 2002, the rules were changed and the Land Transport Authority (LTA) required goods vehicles to be registered under a company's name. . Recently, the LTA required the details of ownership of light goods vehicles to be displayed on the side panel of the vehicle. . Last month, I had to send my vehicle for inspection, and was told if this was not complied with, it would fail the inspection and the road tax would not be renewed. . I offered to have my business details displayed instead, but this was declined. . So I had no choice but to have my name, address and NRIC number for all to see. . My banks have since cancelled two of my credit cards due to the cards "being compromised". I do not know if these incidents were related to the information revealed on the van, but I do wonder. . Meanwhile, I wrote to the LTA to appeal. Eventually I was told that the new requirement only applied to vans registered after July 2002. . The over-zealous officers at the inspection centre who misinterpreted the rules were apparently at fault. .

LTA cannot afford to buy screw? If you need to supply them one then muz also provide screwdriver in case they need to screw that screw?
