anyway she's right...it'll cost $1k which is kind of ridiculous to pay for eyewear. It's not like there's a lifetime guarantee on the lens or something

And that's only the lens mind you. Frame i think only one year guarantee against product defects, no wear and tear.
Anyway I paid 90 for my lens. I don't know what's the quality diff between $600 lenses and $90 dollar lens cuz i've never had the chance to try out $600 lens. My 90 bucks work for me tho'

Anyone have any ideas why oakley prescription lens so ex?
depending on the model, the price varies for oakley frames and sunglasses i've seen prices at 100++ to $800-$900++
if you want oakley prescription lenses, you'll need to pay at least $400++ which is inclusive of $15.75 for the sending of the frame to USA
lens price can go even higher denpending on the frame you choose, the harder to make the lens , the more expensive it would be, maybe $500-$600++ for the lenses alone
normal curve lenses have distortions on the side, for people who need curved lenses on their sunglasses , oakley lenses have less distortion so people who need better vision for sports can still go for curve lenses
and for those who actually bother to read the warranty card , it states that its a 1 year warranty for manufacturing defects
beyond that its a case by case basis, and if you get charged for repairs after warranty period you get charged much less if you have the warranty card as in $30 instead of $60 so don't throw away your warranty card even if the warranty period expires!
not sure if its for all models but i've seen it written on a card that original oakley sunglasses can go to the service center to exchange for free pair of ear sock or something in case of wear and tear within the warranty period

but i recommend the Bugis oakley shop on the ground floor ... prices are about the same everywhere ... the difference is that the service is damm good, you can try all you want, they'll call up other places for colours, staff is friendly, even gave me another set of nose bridges when i bought a pair over there ...
anyone knows the actual name of the shop ? ...
sorry , just wondering is it a shop just for selling oakleys? and what kind of nose pads did they give you? is it the transparent ones or the black ones?

wah then i regret buying from queensway liao....free nose bridges? which model did you buy and how much did you spend? the staff at queensway were professional when dealing with me but i just don't see them going that extra mile compared to the bugis shop. Queensway shop not out to keep customer one, is out to chop carrot head
er... most of the time whether the staff go an extra mile for you depends on how you interact with them. if they get the feeling you're a cheapskate or you're the type that won't come back after one purchase , its hard to treat the customer better .
I noticed that whenever my friend tries to buy something , he usually tries to smile more and do small chat with the staff and it results in him getting more free stuff .

May be old models but brand new selling at 50% to 60% off.
