Closure of Geylang Serai Market

The Geylang Serai Market will be closed after 42 years of existence. The existing market will be demolished and will be rebuilt at a prominent site facing Changi Rd. It is part of the HUP scheme and it will take about 2 yrs for the market to be ready.

my auntie has a shop there. passed down by my granddad. got one shop sell dry goods in the market, one selling scarf and such.
the temporary site is so small!
my grandauntie got her new house near the eunos mrt stn coz' her old flat was at jln pasar baru. nice place. very airy at night.
