By the way, me noticed that they didn't even check any reservation listings or book when they brought the couple to their seats. And don't tell me that the cashier was also "blind" when she had at least three eye contacts with me ranging between 3 seconds to 20 seconds?Originally posted by playboy_1985:ok bro for ur first scenario, why the malay couples were served before you is becuz they made their reservations via phone call. you might see the empty tables but they are actually reserved by those who booked thru phone. one thing not good is that swensens dun implement by putting a reserved sign at the tables. this is their fault. as for the reason given that they didnt see you. its lame i admit but maybe cuz it was peak period and everyone was busy so tend to make mistakes but maybe the manager really didnt see you. i do too. if you were in their shoe you will know. no need get so upset over this.
as for ur second scenario.. i nothing to say. you shld write and complain.
usually the reservation book is located at the entrance. depends if the outlet is packed cashier see customers at entrance will tell the person on duty. normally at swensens the outlet is divided into station A and station B, those in charge of station A cannot interfere in station B unless the outlet has very little customers. so sometimes u might see some CSR that notice you at the entrance but can't do anything becuz they belong to the other station. i find this quite lame though. so normally its either the manager on duty, assistant manager or higher rank staffs "those with walkie-talkie" that do the serving and ushering of customers into the outlet.Originally posted by dork3d:By the way, me noticed that they didn't even check any reservation listings or book when they brought the couple to their seats. Isn't this double standard by segmenting work and teamwork is better than A and B theory?Originally posted by playboy_1985:usually the reservation book is located at the entrance. depends if the outlet is packed cashier see customers at entrance will tell the person on duty. normally at swensens the outlet is divided into station A and station B, those in charge of station A cannot interfere in station B unless the outlet has very little customers. so sometimes u might see some CSR that notice you at the entrance but can't do anything becuz they belong to the other station. i find this quite lame though. so normally its either the manager on duty, assistant manager or higher rank staffs "those with walkie-talkie" that do the serving and ushering of customers into the outlet.
Me think rather than just the basic training, more service trainings are required to push up the initiaitiveness and maybe external trainers from Spring can be hired to improve their staff training procedures and levels? Maybe in that way, the staff will know the importance of making other people's day!Originally posted by playboy_1985:i think so too. duno why the A and B theory implement by swensens.
maybe they scared some1 go over to station A and never look after station B, then if customer from B got problem nobody to help. same if stay at B but A got customer got problem nobody to help.
i think swensens should just hire more staff la.![]()
I was in a really good mood on that day.. no way i could have offended the staff in any way whatsoever..Originally posted by Aveme:let me ask you something then? Did you do anything to the staffs that made them not welcome you?
why all the other customers are ok like you mentioned, they all get their drinks refilled, they all get normal proportion for their desert, everything for others are all ok,but just you who have problem?

I curious to know when ur colleagues or those more senior than u treated u badly, how they treat u badly?Originally posted by cumhere:I actually worked in swensen's for a few days only. See, even the workers there are very bad towards me.
I cannot explain why the food are served late.
The fact that no one wants to refill maybe because the workers don't dare to. I've been in that situation before when I just don't dare to fill up other's empty cup. I feel so stupid to do that! Haha..
But guys, don't worry - just do the survey form that is attached to the triangular thing on your table and just state what's not good. Make sure u write exclaimation marks - alot and big! haha..
U can also complain to the managers - they usually wear white or black shirts.
i assume is normally the higher rank staff that always find fault with you. those temp CSR or full-time CSR, i meant same rank as you will be helpful and always try to help you when you duno this or that right.Originally posted by cumhere:I actually worked in swensen's for a few days only. at first, i didn't even realise that we've been waiting for around 1/2 hour.. till my friend mentioned that..
even after realising that, i merely asked one of the staff [b]in a polite manner whether my food was ready..

How long u worked in there? I think it is because they try to find fault causing people to choose to quit.Originally posted by playboy_1985:i assume is normally the higher rank staff that always find fault with you. those temp CSR or full-time CSR, i meant same rank as you will be helpful and always try to help you when you duno this or that right.
for me that time i worked, only those in white shirts were kinda nasty. and they were all malays. not that im racist, but i realise that just because they are assistant manager or what. they tend to be quite co.cky. and they like to side with the malaysians staff.![]()
I guessed majority of them worked there for time being so no need to commit n if not happy, quit.Originally posted by Li Ka Shing:I sometimes saw waiters eating customers food. Not at Swensen but at other places. There was one time where I happened to look at a mirror, and a waiter was stealing food, using his finger picking up food from the customer plate he supposed to carry. He thought nobody saw him, but actually the mirror covered his angle. So unprofessional.....
