  any 1 knows wat is the procedure if say i want to change name or add a christian name to my i/c ?

  Firstly you need to go colombo court and register, then you need to go.....overall very ley chey, but if you think its worth it, go for it.

  i think need to pay lawyer a token fee to be the registrar when you take the oath when u change name also.

  not sure, but last time when my friend went to apply for his IC he somehow added a christian name to his chinese name.

  i changed my name before. u need to get a deed poll from a lawyer before u can changed a new nric.
  
  i think it costed less than 150 bucks.

  like mentioned above....get a lawyer to do a deed poll...after that need to inform all govt agencies about ur change and get them to update their records...not sure if U can use OSCARS for that....but in terms of cost...U need to at least pay another 60 bucks for IC...and more if U have a passport.
  
  then there are the non-govt agencies like banks...insurance...even school...
  
  change name or add christian name still the same procedure.then the deed poll like a sacred piece of paper...keep under lock and key.
