I am not an employer, but I find PDF files bloody irritating. It uses too much resources for what it does, and it is increasingly being used in a way it is not designed for.Originally posted by thoreldan:is it common?

Pdf files are good if you have things you want to publish (as in print) because you can store documents are very high resolution. Yes, it is compatible across platforms but that is no big deal nowadays.
Stick to word documents to avoid pissing off your potential employer.
