For 2005 and 2006 version actually not much difference.. except tat 2006 version has spyware detection and removal at the background.. but these means consume more computer resources.. as for AVG, I know it is free and good... but in terms of cleaning rate, it is still inferior as compared to norton and mcafee.. u can check it out at the ICSA Labs websiteOriginally posted by ditzy:All those still using NAV 2005, 2004, 2003, and below are losers, shame on you!![]()

When you use pirated products, they are not expected to expire. Obviously, it didn't work because Norton programmers have changed the programming in some way.Originally posted by LancerVII:I have installed norton antivirus 2005 in my computer which is using a non-original Cd key.. mine will expire in September this yr.. I intend to uninstall it from my com when it expires.. But since I got a key generator, if I install it again using a different cd key, can I still use it again? or wil it still shows tat it is expired? anyone here have tried this b4?
For cleaning, they may not be good. However, you can always search on the virus and remove them yourself. Relying too much on software is not good.Originally posted by LancerVII:For 2005 and 2006 version actually not much difference.. except tat 2006 version has spyware detection and removal at the background.. but these means consume more computer resources.. as for AVG, I know it is free and good... but in terms of cleaning rate, it is still inferior as compared to norton and mcafee.. u can check it out at the ICSA Labs website

I think u misunderstood my question... The 2005 version in my computer now, I had been using happily since last yr september.. so after 1 yr, will expire this september lor.. So, I am planning tat, when it expires this september, can I uninstall it, den use my key generator to generate another Cd key and install it again? I thought the so called "install already but will expire again" will apply only if I reinstall using the same Cd key? but for my case, I decide to reinstall using another Cd key.. so.. will the outcome be the same or different?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:When you use pirated products, they are not expected to expire. Even if you try it again, it will work, but will expire again.
Go original or find free ones.
yup I know.. tat's y for my other com which has only 256mb ram, I use AVG.. So if AVG detects a virus, I can search for the solution to counter it lor.. hehe.. but this com which is using norton, it has 512mb ram..Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:For cleaning, they may not be good. LOL, never misunderstood your question. I understand it perfectly. I tried before, and they never expire (versions before 2003). That's because the software has been edited by those piracy software sellers.Originally posted by LancerVII:I think u misunderstood my question... yup.. I know about the risk of editing registry keys.. haiz.. maybe I will use 2006 version when it expires... but my com have only 512mb ram leh.. I also need to use softwares like photoshop, freehand and pagemaker.. so if I install 2006 version, will it lag my com? as far as i know, 2006 version minimum 256mb ram requirement..Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:LOL, never misunderstood your question. But I guess this time round you won't be able to do that. The software would have detected those registry keys despite uninstalling. Unless you delete those registry keys. But it would be risky as they are installed in different locations. A wrong edit would result in you reformating.
Yes, I understand your question. Your version is like a trail version, not pirated. I doubt you doubt u reinstall again because I tried before but I did'nt try to hack with a autogenerated CD key. Only way to reuse it is to reformat your drive.Originally posted by LancerVII:I think u misunderstood my question... You sign up the wrong version. Should select home users. Enterprise version expires after 30 days.Originally posted by babymac13:AVG only 30 days free trial?
Hmm .. which mean after 30 days, I wont have access to the full function of the anti virus software?
With all these, obviously it will lag. Even with a 512MB. I think you switch to a free version better.Originally posted by LancerVII:yup..
