  lai lai lai... map come out liao, can play RISK...
  
  i think YCK will turn into opposition ward... or if there are too many opposition coming to YCK, it may split the vote and PAP might win with minority lead... YCK is like another cheng san lah... but good, i got popcorn to eat and show to watch liao...

  east coast area got this super-big ward that includes Pulau Tekong.
  
  Who needs an MP at Pulau Tekong!!!
  
  You go, "meet the MP session" and say you are a resident of the constituent because you are in Tekong.
  
  Complain that the tracks in the jungle got no street lighting.

  I have a little doubt. from map look pretty dangerous coz YCK SMC is totally surrounded by AMK GRC. if YCK SMC lose to opposition, how are they gonna distribute the "goodies" left by AMK GRC Town Council?. YCK SMC got to start a new TC with what resource. finally YCK SMC is make up of mostly private estate - the got money ppl.

  I think they should have combined Bukit Timah and Bukit Panjang to form a 3 man GRC.

  I was still trying to figure out what area encompasses YCK SMC. From what I can roughly gauge from the map, it seems to cover the Ang Mo Kio Ave 4 area. That area is a mix between HDB Flats and Private Estates. When they first mentioned Yio Chu Kang I was like ho say liao, this time can vote because I actually live along Yio Chu Kang Road. That said, Yio Chu Kang Rd is a road which stretches all the way from Pierce Reservoir all the way to Serangoon central side, along it there is a gd 4 or 5 single components of GRCs.To my disappointment, I fell into one of these.

  Bt Timah formed into Holland Bt Timah GRC
  
  This GRC majority area are those landed property or condo... Now they minus off Bt Panjang into SMC, the majority of which are heartlanders... Does anyone has a map of this GRC?

  Not everyone in BPJ SMC will get their views heard anyway.
  
  Heartlanders?I'd rather have a mix of both constituents.Prevents a skewed viewpoint which the minority invariably gets less focus.

  whoa. i also live in YCK SMC, but i fall short of the eligibility to vote by a mere few months. sad. if next GE YCK SMC is still around then fun liao.... YCK GRC is actually quite away from the rest of AMK, a larger proportion of ppl there are elderly and still have fresh memories of the Cheng San GRC fight in 1997. some even went over to see show. if u came and see our SMC, there is really nothing exciting other than YCK MRT nearby and the new YCK community club.
  
  to them, being an opposition SMC is no big deal cos there've been waiting for MUP for so long (only 636 to 640 is upgraded) they are sian alrd and thought throught it. and u put SMC in a poor man's land (AMK has one of the lowest income/pop of HDB estates) with many middle-aged and old people (see blk 645), to them, when they have thought through, MUP only means they will have to pay a large proportion of their income so they are fine with not having any upgrades at all... it's like, u can take away our upgrading previliges and stuff, it's okay. i dun mind a change of taste. the elderly and the poor here can live without the luxuries and lead a simple life like what PP residents have been doing.
  
  just dun close down YCK MRT and take away our Progress Package.

  if i'm inside and i get to choose the boundaries, YCK will be the last i will choose to be SMC.
  
  already my parents said they're going to vote for opposition. if the opposition work hard in their rallies and not split the opposition vote (a.k.a. just NSP, dun all fall in in YCK), they are likely going to get YCK.
  
  tat was the first thought i had when i heard YCK become SMC. the next thing i could think of, "ED ppl are stupid man. YCK, of all places!"

  now i'm in "holland"
  
  but it think i'm nearer to holland than bukit timah
  
  i'm surrounded by jurong, clementi, west coast, and i'm in bukit timah
  
  actually, with more gerrymandering, i wonder where i am now

  Apparently, I'm not in Holland anymore.
  
  We just switched places.

  for the exact boundary of YCK, i'll go check my elections boundary map of 2001 and the Meet-Your-MP session poster.
  
  tat's cos i can't make out the exact kind of shapes of the north border (which tells how much private properties is included), but then it shld be a small proportion cos many have been eaten into Nee Soon South (NESSEA), which has remained with Ang Mo Kio GRC.
  
  for HDB side, it includes:
  
  All of N7 (central)
  All of N1, including the small Mayflower Estate
  All of N6
  Blk 244 to Blk 259 (bounded by St 11, Ave 2, Ave 1 and Ave 3)
  
  the map is rather distorted considering that NYP, AMK Town Gdn West and Ind Pk 3 is inside.
