  hey i wanna ask u guy ah, if i got a cheque entitled to me with my name written, can i still pass it on to other people for usage since they can jus fill in their bank acc no. and deposite into acc?

  okok... err u guys know any of posb bank in the north? want to set up a posb atm card...
  
  weird... need to pay for something costing like 1k but i don expect walking around with cash...

  actually it is possible if it is not a crossed cheque.
  
  meaning no double parallel line on the top left hand corner of the cheque.
  
  The or bearer portion beside your name must also not be cancelled.
  
  Meaning this is a cash cheque payable to either you or the bearer of the cheque (anyone else holding onto it)

  ATM card max daily withdrawal limit is below $900, unless you go to the bank to request that limit be upped for a certain date. The max limit to that would most prob be $2000. My advice to you is to pay in cash, either you go bank one day and draw out 1K in one shot or go ATM draw twice $500.

  btw one more qn, if i were to open a posb atm acc, do i need to have parents presence? since i am jus 17. i need to bring Ic, my posb bank book and?

  cos you mentioned that you already have a posb bank book so is there a need to open a new account.

  • You must be at least 5-years-old. If you are below 5-years-old, you may open a trust POSB Passbook Savings Account with your parent/legal guardian who is at least 21-years-old.

  If you're getting something that's around 1K and wish to pay using NETS, then might as well open an account with UOB using their TX VISA. Earn points with your purchases. It's a Debit Card.

  open uob damn easy 1... $100 deposit only.. no monthly deduction of $2 if below $500.. can draw using ocbc atms oso.. ( some ppl say nid pay money.. but i draw so long liaos no money deducted leh.. )

  Man, I'm really that behind. Should use my ATM card more often already like that.
