Would you rather be Singapore citizen or Singapore PR?

  The pros and cons of being Singapore citizen and Singapore PR are some how not the same. For example SG citizen get SG shares but not SG PR. Most SG PR need not serve National service but almost all SG citizen's male need to serve NS. If you were given a choice would you rather be Singapore citizen or Singapore PR?

  You can start a new thread on that if u want. I'm discussing about citizen and PR because i feel that they are living with us in this tiny island. Maybe everyday when you step out of your house you will see them or maybe some of them are just beside you as neighbour.

  I said most PR not all PR. Most SG PR need not serve National service, i have seem many adult PR who come to singapore at the age of late 20s and 30s. These group of PR no need to serve ns and are working and living in singapore.

  2nd generation PR must serve NS.
  
  1st generation PR are exempted.
  
  PR in singapore earn very similar benefits as citizens already. except for HDB upgrading and voting and edusave.
  
  But PR usually rent HDB or buy condo since they are not eligible to buy new HDB.
  So little get affected by HDB upgrading.
