How long to wait before you receive job offer?

Let's say you just went for an interview today, and the interviewer told you that he will contact you by the end of this week if you are successful. However, normally how long do you have to wait before they contact you?

If you continure to wait, you may end up FOREVER waiting for that one to get back to you.
You should busy yourself with other opportunities. -
one week lor.. the person said end of the week will contact u right? So, if by this Friday or Sat they never contact u.. then u can assume that you are not offered the job.

yea, that is what the interviewer told me but what I want to know is that if you are the potential candidate for the job, will they contact you within 1-2 days or offer you the job on the spot? but last week i go hunt for other jobs liao. i suggest u do the same. more choices, better.

Last time one also say next friday call, one month and not a friday later than call, i say sorry i got a job already. Got one application i sent in january, march then got, i say sorry also. The fastest one i got was 3 days, but bo bian, employer desperate, and I was the most qualified.

The longer the time from your first interview to the time they offer you the job, the more you should consider not taking the job.
Because it is likely other candidates have rejected their offer and they just go down the list of their preferred employee until finally reaching you. You could be their 10th choice for all you know. -

That's the spirit my fren!!!!! At least secure a job first with ok money paid. While working you can look elsewhere for other lobang. It is like ride mule find horse mentality. It is better than everyday not a single cent come into your pocket
Of cuz if the job pay is so low that it cannot cover your transport and eating expenses, then can forgo the job else should take up first and see how later. -

I agree with newcomer, take up the job because its better than nothing. I don't really care if I am the first or last choice on their list because can secure a job good liao.
