as you all have known.... there have been news of JCs setting up IP schools entitled to those Secondary 2 students who have applied and passd the selection test. Or other elite schools having their IP progs..
Yea... its quite good in fact... but then... i find there are some disadvantages...
I meen... IP doesnt actually consider the rest who have unfortunately wasnt given this opportunity to enter such programmes. At the end, after their O-lvls, they have extreme dificulty to enter JC.. like for eg. If im not right i think this yrs RJC aggregate point has raised to 2 points (correct me if im wrong), most have to turn to other JCs and sometimes they choose to go poly (which i believe may be partially the cause of this).
Also,(ok u can call me biased about this) imagine you go to a JC like for e.g RJC or HWJC... can u imagine that errie feeling that almost 80% of the population are all chinese high boys or raffles students? Well, it does give you the feeling that the students are showing patriotism to the sch..
ok,you may think im just a whiner but simply this is just my view of how O-lvls is sys is like...
You can feel free to write your views, if there is presence of flamers its ok...
PS : sry... forgot to add on.. IP is integrated programme that grants the students to skip O-lvls through a special course specifically made for them. -

anw, sometimes... it's because of the majority of ppl, who are part of the sch culture... tt draws ppl to want to be part of the family.
it's not really the school tht affect the results anw..
peer pressure and all are to only to a certain extent..
it's the student himself that makes the difference..

do remember those with crap A lvl results at the end of the IP route have no future and qualification....hahahahaha

Taking the IP route represents a risk. If you opt the IP route, you have to go all the way, otherwise, your highest qualification is PSLE.

Anyway, this has always been the case even before IP. The good thing is these kids now have more interactions with the 'outside' world.
I feel that IP seems to be a wrong move. In IP, ur EL, is a mix of both EL at O's and GP. SO, it is everything ... DUnnoe how they juggle.
It seems thta parents are so caught with the paper chase that MOE needs to diversify another ELITE route out ... something is wrong ... We dun need more elite routes .... -
its not the number of As that count at the end of the day, its the size of your paycheck.

but the system here is, no. of A's = size of paycheck ...
