those days, my friends worked so hard during the holidays, to buy branded stuff
mostly gals tho, and its the branded bags most of the time
but now better lar, parents even give kids HP...wah so good
everywhere i go, i see kids chatting on HPs -

shirt with sleeves folded
bel bottom pants raised up higher than waist

ponytail or bob hair

mini skirt
white Bata or reebok trakshoes -
used to be pagers .. now it is HP.

Branded bags like Sonia Rykiel , Jean paul Gaultier , Burberry's, Gucci's
but poor guys and gals will wear Giordano
Cannot see branded paper bags being carried any more.. it gone out of fashion..
before street fashion like Ocean Pacific took over late 1990s -
remember go school , if wan to bring paper bag , must be branded paper bag , i remember i had burberrys and valentino paper bag , and not forgetting versus or versace specs .

then came the surfboarding or street fashion hybrid after 1996. sux
the european brand culture last only few yrs.
My O level party at ECP in december of 1997. best in my memory.. -

lugged around a Jnr Gaultier Bag and JPG wallet
with a Valentino belt and Hilfiger canvas
while my gf uses a Chantal Thomass bag and MCM long wallet with her pager's bells ringing -

Well during my era which is late 80's, walkman was the RAGE. Almost everyone walk around carrying a walkman. That was before CD came on the scene and from abt 90's onwards discman become BIG overshadow the cassette tape. Of cuz now CD is over taken by MP3 !!!!
Own up who were in the transition period of cassette tape to CD?

Last time in 1994, because my mom was quite sick and dad's not in town. So dad made special arrangement with principal to allow me to bring Handphone in case of emergency.
Everybody was like..... WAH!! got handphone.
That's was the era when Motorola Memojazz was the cool thing to own. -
