camera advise

i wanted to buy a camera during this weekend IT fair
budget about 600
any good camera to reccommend at this budget
i am looking at Casio exilim ex-z60
anyone using ? -
i also want to use normal AA bat rather than rechargeable

Maybe u can look at Canon's A series oso.. IMHO Canon's produce more natural looking colors..

For D-cam you really need to buy those D-cam that is slightly bulky because slim D-cam will make your hand feel shaky thus producing blurred images...
I also prefer those D-cam with double A batteries because there might be a possibility for a manufacturer to stop manufacturing those nicam batteries if their D-cam is a end of line product.
Canon powershot series are quite ok...(I own two of them
) Nikon is my second choice, but I haven't tried Olympus though.... -

Slim come at a price. Usually they use proprietary battery to maintain the slim-ness. And of cuz if your hands too big you may find holding the camera and take photo abit hard.
I go for normal AA batteris with Olympus in case I cant get replacement battery when I am overseas. You can try Canon and Nikon but price range are higher than Olympus with about same specification. Happy choosing

Canon A-series will suit you best.
1) AA batts
2) better colours
3) more versatile during different shooting situation
4) cheaper memory as it is non-proprietory
5) good price. -

Good price for Canon A-series is debatable based on individual defintion of cheap and expensive -
I have an olympus 4 mp digican and they eat aa batteries like no tomorrow man.
Thank goodness for rechargeables. -

i adjust, date & time. set to functions to personal liking.... and take 2 shots... then battery went dead.... 35 mins later. haha.
Then next day went to buy GP 1800mAh AA batts. So much better. -

S600 or Z600?
im using the S600...but cant say much for its photo quality coz am using its internal memory to test...mem card coming later...
8.3MB internal memory...enuf for 3 6MB photos...btw the camera's engine is quite good....tell ya whether underexposure or overexposure when not using flash...have anti-shake but only if u set iso to auto...the downside is that auto cam tend to put high iso which means more grainy.....
but overall good cam..portability 8/10 and u charge the batt by putting it inside the camera and connecting it to the USB cradle which will allow u to charge or connect to the PC.....
The Best Picture software in it allow u to take certain shot very nice...scenery, night etc..compared to the Sony DSC-T5 which i owned too, it does have some of the mode but there's no explaination for it unlike the S600....the S600 come with 36 best picture with description for east shot/example/mode..u also can make custom best shot...for price i dunno coz i got free fomr my dad company(hence no mem card)
But the retracting lens its per each user's likeness...im used to no retracting one from the T5... -
get a fujiflim, it can capture alot of funny nonsense. when i clean my lens, it still give me alot of funny picutre!
