Last night I had the most terrifying nightmare of my life. Never had I thought such fear could exist. The fear I felt was worse than anything I'd encountered in real life. Here is my dream:
I remembered standing by my bedroom window on the 8th storey of my HDB flat. The sky was grey, and rain was falling. There were 2 other HDB flats near mine. One on the left and the other on the right. I could see both of them clearly. A deafening shriek, and I looked up, seeing a small black shape, like a crow in the distance. It seemed to be circling in the sky. Then, the black shape flew in my direction, and I realized that the black shape was huge, and not the size of any crow I knew existed. It was the size of a human male, black was its outfit, and bat's wings were spread as the bat man (not Batman) came closer and closer. It landed on the roof of the HDB flat on my left, and I remembered calling out to my father, who came rushing to my side, and we started, stunned, at the sight of the bat man, his mouth open, a wail escaping his lips. Lightning streaked across the sky, and the humanoid reared back his head, seemed to be calling.
Another black humanoid I saw, circling in the sky, that came towards its companion on the roof. Both stood together, as my dad and I tried to interpret this scene. The, with powerful flaps of wings, the two humanoids took off, flew above our flat and disappeared out of sight. I recalled in my nightmare that I was too afraid to go back to bed, so I switched on the television, and a news reporter was saying that 2 unidentified objects were seen flying over the area. The screen flickered, and a picture came into view. It was a picture of one of the bat men, flying in the sky, as rain fell all around him. Then, one bat man crashed into my bedroom window, it was trying desperately to claw its way through the metal and glass into my room. I was so freaked out that I sat watching as the creature howled and moaned, its hands reaching for me. I woke up then...
This is a nightmare I will never forget, and I've already written it down in my diary of the most horrifying dreams of my life. By the way, the nightmare is not influenced by me watching too much batman, but by a painting I saw a few weeks ago, named 'The Spring-Heeled Jack'.
Here is Spring-Heeled Jack, a strange flying humanoid that terrorized the people of England in the 19th century:
