MI vs O lvl private candidate

Now I have 2 choices, My friend in MI says 28 also can enter because you got friend there also 28 then enter one
But now.. Its at Clementi then next year move to Bukit Batok.. May get in
But I may retake as a private candidate for 8 months about 3k++ excluding examinations fees.. No textbooks but they give you notes
Its from BMC Academy
So what you guys think? I live in Tampines BTW, So I have to take the 6am train to clementi everyday then take 173 to Toh Tuck Campus

Go MI must study really very hard. A lot of distractions there. I suggest you retake the Os.

i was deciding between MI and a private candidate.
but i decided to be a private candidate instead.
going to MI , alot of new stuff to learn .. must really work very very hard , and secondary sch isnt my kind of thing ..
whereas private candidate , eu will be going back to revise your subjects.
since eu haven grasp the subject totally , might as well use this time to get to know ur textbooks better.
hmm , but i find bmc academy is a little bit too ex ..
not considering a cheaper private tutor ?
just my little opinion here.

go to MI.
its ur chance now, make full use of it.
it offers many other activities as well, CCA, sch events, etc. can make more friends!
save more money. BMC i think its rather expensive...plus u still can buy bus concessions...
most private candidates will opt to work part time....tis is v distracting...i'd rather u condt education e 'school' way.... -

Now I wanna study marketing, And so I wanna go for a full-time private candidate for 3k++ hence I won't be working and studying at the same time..
People recommend me study the certificate from MDIS for marketing then next year apply through JPSAE
Or take the cert and take night classes -
I find MI to be really stupid.The weakest of the O level batch will go there but still they study the same things people in JCs study.If you haven't lost hope in your eduction then i suggest you don't go MI.Remember your O level cert will stay with you for the rest of your life.I don't see anything wrong in spending one year to improve it.

u shld really reconsidering about going MI. from what i heard, the percentage of MI students making it to uni is alarmingly low.

3k to do O level!!! O level maybe important in future too.... go retake,more worth it..
MI,the environment not tat good,the teachers not as good as jc,even u go there,and waste 3 yrs,i doubt ur A level would be as good as if u went to a jc...
dun bother waste ur time in Mi seriously... i was 3 months there... just dun bother try... waste ur time there... i knoe quite a few people in MI go there for fun while retaking O level then go poly...
if i were u,i will retake O level for sure and work at same time gain experience..
then after u get better results u can decide go jc or poly... bear in mind jc its not tat easy,u have to get good results so u can go uni.... i have a few frens who went jc then go ns then go poly,while some go jc then poly.. while some jc frens i have,just received their A level results and they cant go uni..
so u retake ur Olevel again... get at least all B? :p then u decide... gd luk,...

while poly,i am sure u can get a diploma and u can choose to work or u can go uni if ur grades is not bad...

If you choose to go there, you have to be prepared to study like you are in a JC.Don't be distracted by the slackers and rubber-timers who are there because they want to defer NS or just to have a semblance of education.
It gave me two distinctions(not that I want to boast), and it sure gave many other hardworking people a second chance at University.There are some who made it to Beijing University, even one chap made it to Oxford.
Be willing to study hard and MI will be alright for you.If you find that JC style regimentation is not your cup of tea, please feel free to explore the Poly route.
The new campus in Bukit Batok will be open late this year, so I've heard.It can house 1,400 students because intake has been steadily increasing over the last three years. -

Some tips, if you enter MI, undertake your own academic research and do a lot of self-study and ensure you don't fall to the slacker culture that is there.My time, w had great teachers, one of whom was a PSC scholar who really knew her Literature stuff inside out. Sadly, some have moved on to greener pastures.
