How to record part of video?

  I wanted to do some stuff like Music Video etc.
  
  May I know how to record part of a video scene?
  
  Any recommended software to use?

  Their trial usually will have the word "trial" watermark. Use Windows Movie Maker to be economical.

  Get a mac...do the Right Thing...
  
  Use iMovie (for inexperienced users), or Final Cut (professionals)
