MO = Medical officer. Ala, your army doctor.Originally posted by TheVers:Sorry may I know what is MO? I'm not yet an army man.
And also, you watched the entire process? Only my left toe has the ingrown problem and i guess there is a slight infection so they'll cut part of my meat out as well. The useless meat of course, which is beside the ingrown.
How long did it take you to heal? Did they cut the whole thing or just 1/4 of it? Were you able to walk immediately or something? Can you describe the process afterwards or something? Like after the whole surgery. Thanks.
As said, I can walk normally. No need clutches or what. No pills either. Only some minor pain from time to time (like a sudden pull or something) but nothing that I can't bear. I was just told to keep the wound dry and not let water flow in.Originally posted by TheVers:Doctors told me it is gonna take about 1 month approximately. Depending on my regen rate of course. Yes he told me the same thing, cut off some skin(or small meat) etc.
Do you need any support like sticks or anything? Lol. And also, you feel any sharp pain when you walk? MO only give you painkillers? Aw man he didn't ask you sign what DIE NOT THEIR PROBLEM dumb forms right? -panic- lol.
Cheers.
Just take a ziploc bag and pull it over your feet lah. Then dun aim the water at your feet lor basically.Originally posted by TheVers:Ah right my bad. Just too "kancheong" and can't concentrate well.
Say don't mind I ask something, when you bath, lol... Is that a beetch? I mean how can you prevent water from not flowing into your toe for the first week or something? (In other words, what did you do?)
And also, for the dressing, do you go back to MO every week to do the dressing? Or you did it yourself?
me too, after a period of time i will wait until i bat has the nails will he softer then i dig in and cut lor...Originally posted by hisoka:i always dig intot he flesh and cut out the ingrown parts myself one guess mine is not serious.
anyway the aneasthetic dun worry lah. not major should be local one. they always try not to do general cos it carried much higher risks
haiz like that also dunno. i got experience i teach you lah. use a plastic bag put toe intside then use tape and tape tightly around the edges alot of times. then can fang xin and bath le. but remember to try and keep your toe raised abit like pointing up or at an angle most of the time.Originally posted by CoolMyth:Just take a ziploc bag and pull it over your feet lah. aiya.. this kind of thing is caused by incorrect way of cutting ur toenail.. nth much actually.. =\
try it if its a whole arm manOriginally posted by TheVers:This kinda reminds me long ago... I had a fractured finger once and it was bandaged with another finger to make it straight back. Basically bandaging 2 fingers together. So I wasn't allowed to touch water as well as it had dressing on. So technically speaking, my finger did not touch water for 2-3 months? IT STINKED!
Sigh. Lol.
