  Is it a name change from IBM?? (it is something that ThinkPad Laptop was from IBM actually)

  in dec 2004, ibm sold its pc division to lenovo.

  Lenovo = company owning IBM
  
  so now they continue producing computers with the Thinkpad name lorz...

  Lenovo took over the PC Production of IBM but retained the ThinkPad brand-name.
