At least, to this point, there is no Christian who burn bridges, bomb buildings or walk walk on the street with some ugly banners to boycott this film.
(though this film is much more offensive and blasphemous than some cartoon drawings of a prophet) -
easy for all u non-christians to criticize us christians who dont support the film. imagine someone buddhist making a film full of sh1t about buddhism how u buddhists feel? same for any religion. all wil get offended wad. its just that u ppl from other religions dont face such bullsh1t. easy for all u ppl to say but u dun know how it feels like.

if im a buddhist, i wouldn't take offence because buddhists believe there is no need to get upset over something which has been clarified to be fiction anyway. Why subject yourself to that which u need not subject yourself to? U don't understand buddhism well enuf to think buddhists would feel offended. And taoism which is what is widespread in sg, is not buddhism. Maybe the taoists will feel offended, and maybe muslims would have adverse reactions ala satanic verses, but do u really want yr religion compared to one whose extremists advocate violence against non-believers? I am christian and i am going to watch it...and no my church does not boycott the show....personally...Da vinci code doesnt really affect many churches in singapore...it affect mainly the Roman Catholic church and its history and blah blah...either way...doesnt affect me....think its gonna be a great show i feel and am gonna watch it...

and this, has been provided in the da vinci code, aside from the fact that it has been classified as fiction.
to sum it all up, it makes sense. unless the people who make the movie of buddha having an affair with his mother can provide logical explanations.. i can safely say that there are no such stories so far, let alone logical ones.
