That's why if you have a police report made, Samsung Service Centre won't do the phone reset.Originally posted by ^tamago^:not a samsung user, but i can tell u from experience from nokia's point of view:
if u set a PIN code lock, it will be applicable to the SIM card. u'll be required to enter a code whenever ur phone starts up, as long as the SIM card is used. if u put this SIM card on other phones, the other phones will prompt for the PIN code too.
this means the person will never have access to your SIM card, contacts stored on the SIM card and cannot use the line as well.
if u set a security code lock, it will ask for a security code if the SIM card used is not one of the last 3 SIM cards used on the phone. that means, the person will never have access to your phone unless they bring to those cheong shop or samsung service centre to have the phone reset and software upgraded.
tat one i dunno if it's automated or not, but once that stolen hp database comes up, i think will be possible.Originally posted by photo_seeker:That's why if you have a police report made, Samsung Service Centre won't do the phone reset.
