choosing uni for accountancy

  im stucked between all 3.
  
  ntu- 3 years direct honours programme, rather recognised, hostel life. but environment not very appealing
  
  nus - new BBad with specialisation in accountancy, 100 places only very competitive. most recognised among the 3 unis. but environment also not very appealing.
  
  smu - accountancy programme seems okay but recognition-wise i think many people say smu got packaging no content? i'd like the environment though.
  
  is it worth paying arnd 1k for an academic year just to have a taste of hostel life?

  well...ur hostel life is only as interesting as U want it to be...U can stay in hostel and not take part in anything...then ur hostel life is basically ur roommate.

  erm environment as in school environment. ntu gives me the very ''muggerish'' feeling. nus is abit livelier in comparison but smu gives me this retro, hip, cool feeling that kinda's ready to push me into the corporate world.

  the most established one is ntu accountancy lor. nus the intake so small... surely very very competitive... imagine accountancy itself is a very competitive course... u want to go to a place with so little intake... it's worse...as for smu... the school fees is so much higher... environment not exactly that great... so what if it's in orchard rd? if u drive, parking and erp is so ex. and traffic there can be really bad at times... unis should be in a place with huge arces of land, self contained, rural. like ntu or nus.

  hmm competitiveness breeds progress mah. i dont drive but it's convenient for me cause i live in central area mah. besides smu encourage pple to speak up, it's more spontaneous?
