Any problems with Bluetooth mouses ?

Hi People,
I want to buy a bluetooth mouse from Microsoft.However i can't seem to convince myself that that the bluetooth mouse will be better than the RF versions. AFAIK, the RF versions requires a USB receiver to send and receive the signals from the mouse.
Does anyone owns both or either type of mouse ? Could you guys shed some light or discuss either the BT or the RF one works just as well pls ? -
i think stick with RF bah. the price diff is not too much anyway.
i have a bt mouse, works perfectly. but it's not windows so no point. i can only say tat the concept of bluetooth mouse is tested and proven to work. it's just tat windows xp dun handle bluetooth devices very well... -

My friend is using a Bluetooth Mouse and is working very well. Personally tried it for a week when I loan from him and it works fine on my Win XP Pro SP2.

yeah lor. i dun use windows liao, not qualified to answer le.... but good lah, i always have problems with my usb bluetooth adaptor and windows xp... install only very ma fan, set up a lot of comm ports and slow the whole pc down..

Does the mouse need to be powered seperately?

3 years ago, quite some BT mouse doesn't work as well, not only on XP.

hmm what u mean 3 yrs back XP don't work well with BT devices ? My current laptop is a T41, purchased back in Jan 2004, hmm..wonder if the device will cause any issues.
But seriously, comparing it with RF mouses, there isn't much of a difference except for the USB recevier and the uber factor of the BT devices ? -
I mean those BT technology is not as stable and thus couldn't work that well.

well i think i am going with the BT option, more viable and easier to bring abt, given the fact i need to be mobile,carrying my laptop ard for presentations and meetings.

i think i'm really used backdated hardware which is not optimised for xp. my pc is from 1998, my usb bt adaptor and pocket pc from 2002 batch. those time this kind of thing just started, very ex.
now i use bt on my mac, v2.0, very nice. dun dare to use windows liao. install until luan, wat my bluetooth places, so many comm ports. but think those laptop built-in bt shld be working very well also. -
