CONSTRUCTION WORK

I living in this god damn area called yishun and they have it seems they always been construction work in every year for the past 10 yrs. They seems to like to drill the floor and no matter what upgrade or rework, they always involve in drilling the holes. The floor seems to be in gd condition and I dun understand why they want to rework since they have rework the floor and upgrade the surrounding with stone chairs and new playground for the past 3 yrs. And the drilling of the floor can cause me crazy especially when my exams is around the corner. It had affect greatly on my studies during exams as I am the type who only study at home. Not wanting to blame totally on them but it just a very bad experience from them.
Is the government too rich?? Or they r just bloody free to drill every bloody floor on the neighbourhood so they can piss everybody off. This affect me alot cos I working nite shift and I assume those kids who use to take afternoon nap will also be greatly affected.
I am so pissed off and really want to move out of this god damn area but I found out I too poor to buy a toilet bowl, not to say move to condo...
So have anybody experience contruction work near ur house?? Those working nite shift??? -
the road works really can't be help, because of the lower or even no traffic flow. but as for the construction upgrades for buildings, don't think it's allowed though.

How to create jobs if they don't do this?
It used to be that flooring, structures, pavements could last for 10, 20 years before they did any renovation work on it.
Now, every 1 to 2 years, for the sake of job creation and the fact that MPs have promised some kind of 'upgrading' works to show that they are doing something for the constituents, you will have all these drilling, relayering or digging of holes only to fill them up again occassionally.
Plus election is coming so you can use the upgrading as an excuse to get more votes.

Live in Yishun too, just realise that the goverment has just build 2 stretch of 2 road connected 1 end to another. Really dun understand why do they need to spend the $$$ to do this. been living here for the past 20 yrs, everyone has get use the longer distance and now suddenly they cut through the "small Forest" to build the road when, the traffic there i can say is so little.
Yishun is not a god-damned place ok, living in it for 20 yr .. kinda of attract to the place -
I abit harsh on my langauge part and I apologise for that. The recently construction work near my house had made me so emotional. And I too live in yishun close to 20 yrs too. I do feel attached here like u.... Glad to have a 'yishunians' here...haha

i stay at simei area and have been hearing drillings everyday last month 9am daily.....even i walk pass MRT station also got drilling process...sianzz.....

just next door, building condos...
behind, building apartments again...
just 2 units away, building condos...
u imagine the shit i go thru...
9am drill until 6pm...
knn... somemore drill until my floors tiles and walls crack...
but gonna have new paint coat and new floor tiles soon... -
I live @ the Ring Rd, quite lucky got NO noise at all! But i sympathise with the thread-starter lah, listening to all those drilling noises MAKES YOU GO MAD!

Now its drilling beside my flat. I am going crazy liao....This is one of a gd way to mess up my day. When is it going to stop???
