Are kids of today generation getting...too pampered?

  different cultures lah. like in us i think they expect them to move out and the parents dun expect help when they are old too. and also the get married very young. i talked to this person b4 who was divorced and with a child at age 2x and the way she say is like its very normal over there

  the kind of theory that you guys pratice is painting everyone with the same tar brush when you see someone from a particular group doing something wrong, so can i say that all Muslims are sucide bombers just because there are Muslim extremists.Think about that yourself.

  Parents today are too soft, they lack parenting skills.
  Most of them let the kids get away with being rude, in the end they lose control over their kids.
  
  Recently, I saw on Oprah's show how to discipline naughty/ uncontrollable kids- make them sit on 'naughty stool' as punishment, have eye contact, use authoratitive voice to tell them what they did wrong & ask them to apologise before they can get off the stool.
  My sis make her son stand in one corner of the hse. if he misbehaves.
  It is quite effective.

  If parents were to pamper their kid, in public, ppl will say.. "wah lao, parents nowadays pamper their kid until lidat.. blablabla"..
  
  If parents were to discipline their kid, in public, ppl will stare at them den say wad.. "wah.. ginna only mah, no need to be so fierce blablabla.."
