  The original starting sequence was quite cool. He would run into a series of mishaps (being chased by Sharky the dog, run down by an aeroplane, hunted by the Terrible Thunderlizards, etc...).
  
  Then he would eventually end up slamming into a huge 'Eek! The Cat' sculpture which would then crumble and collapse on him.
  
  I always got a kick out of that starting sequence.
