First, find out your best study times. Is it morning, afternoon or night? Study during that period of time. Eat and rest well before that period of time so that you will be at your peak.
Secondly, don't memorise theories. Link to experiences. For Chemistry, it will be quite easy. If you have done enough experiments in school, you will find certain topics easy to understand and therefore can remember. If there's no experience, try other ways. For example, write down the main points of that theory. Find examples to support it.
Lastly, get a study mate(s). You help them, they help you, it will help you to memorise better. -

no study for me...all projects based but always a headache.... lots n lots of coffee n e occasion 3am bathe helps alot

notes down stuffs in point form. drink water, it helps to keep u refreshed. if u are feeling too stressed, go 4 a run, it would help to keep u cool.
for me i study better outside home. cos hse got too many temptations, bed, tv, computer, games, etc.

currently i am going to take an exam tat is purely theory
but i think i going to give up on it...the whole set of notes add together is like a dictionary...how to study?

i duno lah..for me i feel that exam no need to write very bombastic words
get yr point straight..even if it means that u have to write:
'this is a book. this book is blue in color. it has many pages'
this is what my lecturer taught us..say no need to squeeze alot of points in 1 sentence..if yr english not so good..write one sentence one setnence
