Singnet users come on in.

Hi guys.
I'm using 512kbps Singnet BB connection and I'm experiencing massive lag when playing games etc. It is not like the server is lagging or anything, my friends who are using Starhub's fine and everything.
The weird thing is, the download speeds of my connection are fine, the speed for loading of webpages is also fine, but when it comes to games, the ping goes as high as 300+. CS for instance.
Earlier today I keep getting trojans and thank goodness my norton blocked it off. But I think that is the main problem? The IPs logged down are singnet IPs, as most of the time, the IPs start with 220.202 etc etc. The file which is being sent to me is MS.Asn1.Int....... something.oveflow.TCP <-- Something like this.
It keep popping up and warning me such file is intruding my system but everything it blocks one, another pops in. For some reason I believe this is the thing which is lagging the system? Can anyone help me with this? It is pretty irritating. Thank you. -
i use 1500k no problem le, maybe gotta do with your computer performance?

Can't be. Only the start of today. Everyday my computer is going really smoothly.
It is not only me experiencing such things, when I log onto CS, everyone using singnet is complaining. What I fear are the trojans. I maybe sending trojans as well for all I know? Cause the trojans which were sent to me had IPs starting with 220.202 (singnet IP) more or less eh? -

Nope. Checked. Every like what 5 seconds there'll be new IP trying to send me such trojans.

220.202 should be starhub or other server. as for my version, my IP address kept changing[/b] -

starhub is 59. blah blah and 202. blah blah..
u kanna infected wif trojan liao la... go scan ur pc la.. ur pc gg liao... of cos lag when got ppl tryin to access ur ports..
singnet is suppose to be better in gamin.. but in my area singnet kip gettin d/c.. so starhub rules!

Noticed these 2 days Singnet and Starhub users cant play together.
Singnet Host, Starhub lags and vice-versa.
i'm using Starhub 2000 no lag surfing net though. -

I'm using a singnet bb 3500,got dc alot of times today,lags in game play too especially cs,the pings goes up to 400+ to 500+.
but has not problem surfing net. -
hmm..being having the same problems as well; always bloody lag when gaming, but come web surfing, no prob -.-

I think it's been fixed. Tried CS just now and ping went back to 10-15. Not bad

3500kbps here....sometimes get dc once a while if idle.....

Mentioning about trojans, ur com may be affected by the trojans trying to send information through your game server, which ur norton may have just allowed it. this large amount of information, like the file which is being sent to u, may cause ur internet to slow down tremendously.Originally posted by TheVers:Hi guys.

ur com may also been affected by some spyware or worm, thus causing the files(mostly viruses) trying to send to u. norton can only tell u that the file is being sent to u, but is not powerful enough to block off the problems.
i recommend that u run a full system scan with ur norton and try to remove the viruses in ur com if possible -

I'm on 10mbps, their free alcatel modem sucks. I'm getting frequent D/Cs, especially when playing online multiplayer games.
Anyone know a good adsl 2+ modem that i can buy. Must have wireless since i use my notebook for school work also. -
