Traffic Police Ops, Pls Drive Safely...

i'm sure those of you who drive will find this statement very familiar...everyday on the major expressways, you'll see this on the electronic signboard, but more often than not, you never see any traffic police patrol cars or speed trap even if you drive the whole strech...and quite a few times, if noticed speed traps or partol cars by the side of the expressways eventhough the electronic signboard didn't mention anything...i guess it's a decoy...wad do you think?

Even without Traffic Police, you are still required to drive safely, aren't you?

Look at the bridges they always hide one person on top with a camera. This one always kana coz it comes too sudden for everyone.

Unfortunately, many drivers in Singapore don't do that. They think that they are as good as F1 racers and try to drive very fast, thinking that they are cool and skillful. Too bad, they are not even close to even be qualified to race in any circuit. Totally agree with you. I am annoyed too when they don't even bother to signal. Too inconsiderate I guess, only think of themselves. in my opinion no one actually cares about these stuff after they got their driving license.

sigh....ever since the public complained that TP is becoming too sneaky i.e. hiding on overhead bridges, inside bushes with speedtrap cameras to catch speedsters, the TP has henceforth painted bright orange reflectors onto their cars, publish their locations with klaxons and blue lights....
the electronic board is just another form of OPEN DECEPTION practiced by our TP, who bend the rules of the law to increase their chances of meeting their monthly quotas. -
mi usually see all this esp mid night but mostly got tp one leh.. but very very far from the first board which say tp in ops..

Then knn... when other drivers signal right or left, i let them pass...then why other drivers can't do the same as me??

For me, I still do signal cos I feel that there's a need for me to notify vehicles behind me that I'm changing lanes.
It's good to know that when other drivers signal, you let them pass. Hope that you are not being like them though.
That's why I feel in general, many of singapore drivers are inconsiderate and poorly mannered. Whether to continue to be a considerate driver like you have mentioned, or to join them since they are inconsiderate, is your choice though.

r we askin ppl to give way to us or r we shwin others our intentions?
in ur case it seems like the former...for me, i signal to shw my intentions...
if the car is able to accelerate to prevent u frm movin into his/her lane, it means the 2 cars r pretty close...i tink on ur part, either u shld b patient n wait for a better chance or plan ur route early... -

Yes, there's many inconsiderate drivers who don't bother to signal or those who prevent others from changing lanes when they signal.

U're wrong abt my idea....there was once i signalled to the right, but there was quite a far distance between me n the car on the right behind me...approx. 100+m or so...but as i was about to cut into the lane, this continental car accelerate very fast...how i know? becoz i constantly look at my right mirror...i was almost a quarter into 1st lane n that idiot driver almost kiss my butt.... -

Not only F1, many got inspired by how Jay Chou drives in the movie Initial D, and many started to drive with 1 hand, thinking its so cool.
