A howl for mercyYBING finds it ironic that animal welfare groups and animal lovers are calling for heavier punitive sentences on animal abusers, when they should be extending their compassion to this group of people in particular.
She said: 'Negative reactionary punishment will only encourage fear and hatred, but does not serve its purpose to rehabilitate abusers back into society.'
Nessa-t disagrees. 'What if such acts do not stem from ignorance but from pure malice?' she asked. 'If a child stabs a dog with a pencil, then yes, that calls for education. But an adult?'
Pigpog thinks laws against animal abusers are still useful because they express society's feelings about animal cruelty. Bakuretsu10shi added: 'You can't counsel them and hope they'll turn over a new leaf; it just doesn't work that way.'

Money talksAPEC wonders if people today still bother about their passions. 'This world is getting scarier, do we just work for money only?'
LarrenV2.003 says: 'Money makes the world go round, face the reality, boy!'
Euphratis agrees there is no such thing as a free lunch. 'Unless you want to walk to school, even taking the MRT needs money.'
However, Apec is worried about facing up to reality.
He says: 'I just think it's very scary, there are lots of hypocritical people out there ever so ready to win over your share of money.'
