Interior Design and Feng Shui

which one would you believe in.. Interior Designers or Feng Shui Masters?
They are somehow related rite..?
do ppl study Feng Shui in Interior Design courses? -
i believe in walking in the freely and do not knock my shin against the coffee table edge becos it has to be in the way for fengshui reasons

I need a geomancer to tell me about fengshui, not some young punk of an interior designer.

some interior designers subscribe to the feng shui principles.. but on the whole, i have found that feng shui is more a matter of the feng shui's practitioners ideas rather than a set dogma or principle. If you ask ten different feng shui people, you will get ten diff answers.
I am an architect by profession, and a lot of what feng shui is, is taking what we learn about designing for the environment and adding a supposed "spiritual" dimension to it like if you do this or put the door here or do something else, it will bring you good luck... hmmm -
how's interior design job like ah? i've seen many desserted interior design "shops" outside.. i wonder how they actually survive one..

NOpe. Interior design course dun learn feng shui. Cos the subject of fengshui is quite personal and not everyone believes in it.

basically they have the same aim, to make the place look good and make u feel good or serene, but u wun see most interior designers intentionally place 9 dragons statue facing northwest..

lets get this straight, interior designers are concerned with aesthetics, what looks good, the feel, the ambience etc...
all the fengshui people are concerned with are getting the right "spiritual" feel to the place, they have no clue about design what so ever...
all the fengshui deals with is superstition
these two professions are totally unrelated. One is a professional, with qualifications, they other could well be a quack with nothing to back up his claims. -
Style > Fengshui
And I don't believe in geomancy or anything of that sorts, just doesn't sound... right...

I studied Feng Shui personally. What actually important is the flow motion of chi.
Talking about building: First is outside of the building. If it is no good, forget about everything. Cause - In feng shui, they say the chi is no good. You can tell by your own feeling if you are a human.
For Interior design, mostly concern the design of the room and placement of furnitures. As mention is the flow mothion of Chi. (keep it simple, convenient for you and you won't trip when walking. sleep peacefully that kind of things).
Other things will be placing of feng shui items, you name it - they have it. Most importantly, peace of mind when you step into the place.
Little can be done for houses here, unless you live in a private house.
Note: I am no a practiser. -

either they dun understand my design or they jus cant get it rite..
i remember gt 2 time my client changed 3 designer..still cant get wat i want..
in the end i become the designer n sub all the renovation work -
