I am doing a reasearch about different computer brands, and I would like to ask if there is any major difference in the different personal computers each company produces, eg dell, compaq, ibm, acer...
if anyone knows, can pls tell me? i need to know urgently...

The differences: Business strategy used, goodies given to us, length of warranty, antivirus and firewall may or may not be included depending on company.
Dell strategy has been reported in news, go read them online or you can find them online. IBM strategy is to make use of their brand name, build products that are durable. Their laptops, PCs have gone through strict testing to make sure they live up to knockings. The others, more or less the same. By the way, HP and Compaq has merged, so their products are counted as one. -
