put in effort ok? dun repeat again and waste your father's money. can see he stretchign the finances for you this time round le -
wah lao, combined science dont need tuition lah. maths don't even need if you are disciplined enough to do TYS and ask teacher if you don't know.

Tuition for science experiments? Theories still possible, experiments go ask your teachers. Your home is not a science lab. hey man!! ima combined science student as well!! but im coping without tuition. its not very common for ppl to take science tuition. just pay attention in class. any doubts MUST be clarified with ur teacher. revise regularly and u can even ask qns here on sgforums =) got alot alot of ppl can help u. got ppl post science qn b4 lor.

just drill yrself with tys questions.. i mean u havent even try.. i tink tuition should b the last resort?... plus i think its really very harsh for ur dad leh.. since he's struggling so much.. dont think u shud spend so much money.. maybe switch maths tuition to grp ones wif yr friends (cheaper) instead of one-to-one..

it is possible to ace combined science on your own. you just need determination and get the tips on practicals from seniors or read some examples on practicals in practical books or textbooks

Buy the guide book and learn yourself? And do the TYS a zillion times. I think that helps enough. But you will need more time to self-educate.

before deciding on tuition, perhaps give yourself 1 semester to try out first.
For this, study hard for the combine science, and if got question ask your teachers etc....then take the semestral exams or CAs, see where you stand in your class, are you able to get 65% and above for your tests...
if ok, then you may not need tuition but able to do it yourself.
If after one semester, you get not-so-good results, then can get tuition from tuition centers...those are cheaper than private tuitions. And they also give you assessment papers to do, and good notes and materials for your subject. Typical fees are like 40-50 a month only.
To know where to get these tuitions, you can also ask those friends or classmates around you, those who take tuitions, else most tuition centers are always in town centers, etc.

yes, tips to not sleep in class, eat sweets, those chewy kinds like mentos or clorets etc...
i remember like 10 years ago, me in sec 4, me class prefect, everyone also eat sweets, as long as dun anyhow litter, and breed ants its ok. Important thing is that everyone focus on what teacher is teaching and keep awake!
Me was in st.gabs....a very liberal school.
