what u guys think of getting a bsc in management degree?

actually what job opportunites awaits an an graduate with a bsc in management?
if not working in managerial positions, is it quite a waste of money and time in studying for an management degree?
but then again, will it helps in career advancement where u might get the chance of being promoted to managerial positions?

especially now, when degrees are like 3 for $10 on the market nowadays ... so do check out the accreditation of the uni, before you plonk in your money and your time yah ..... -

University of Manchester is a pretty solid school ... but have you checked if you'd be getting a full cert, or getting a cert with the words "corrospondence", or "off-campus" stamped on it ? ... that's important too you know ... if the school themselves make that distinction, then you better think twice eh ...
check to see also that they are using qualified people to teach the local courses too, I have a friend with just a bachelor's from some US university moonlighting as a business lecturer for a corrospondence degree course in Singapore, .... if you're paying that much tuition, then you sure as hell want to see the value eh ...

I studied management as a module before.... and.. eww..... had to memorise lots of theories blah blah... and you have gotta have good essay writting skills... luckily it was only a module.. >_< -

2nd grade uni-local uni like smu ,nus n ntu
3rd grade uni- e uni u planning to study lah / SIM
if im e employer,dat wld be hw i rate yr degree

the cert frm manchester is the same as full-time students studying at the Uk campus(no off-campus, external stuff etc..)
according to wat the ppl frm SIM says...
SIM only got the biz deg program frm RMIT and UOL most popular...but UOL seems more recognised...however RMIT provides specialisation -
As a current student in UOL,personally i find that my course is not bad.Regarding sch fees,alot of people claim that SIM sch fees is much expensive but from what i am doing soo far,the fees are cheaper than local Uni as i got an exemption for a yr.
The lecturers i am having are quite good most of them i know are teaching in local Uni too but be prepare that the exams here are pretty tougher compare to local uni.Don't think that you are just "buying" a degree here.The main reason was because the papers was set by oversea examiner in UK ,not by our local lecturers,hence even SIM and our lecturers has no ideas what is going to be tested.Unlike local Uni where the papers are set by their own lecturers,hence it easier to obtain "tips"
Since you are interested in banking and finance might as well take a course in banking better.
I do not know how the employers rated between local uni and oversea uni since i am only using my poly dip for my resume but i guess most people tend to have the mentality that local Uni such as NUS,NTU and SMU are better off than SIM. -
Sorry, have you tried applying to NUS, NTU, SMU? And if you cannot get into your course of choice, have you considered switching into another major?
