Agreed. They're a bunch of insecure wretches who have major inferiority complexes.Originally posted by LancerVII:to me, those who bully others are cowards... you guys agree?
Err... how do you define bullying...?Originally posted by fudgester:Agreed. They're a bunch of insecure wretches who have major inferiority complexes.
But they don't seek help. Instead, they try to alleviate it by taking it out on people whom they perceive as 'weaker' than them, in the process 'reassuring' themselves that they are indeed 'superior'.
I've been at the receiving end of bullying - both physical and psychological - as I was growing up.
I can agree that whether a person turns out into a bully or not has a lot to do with his upbringing. For all we know, the bully may himself be bullied or abused at home by his parents.
If that's the case, it might be somewhat understandable why he may end up as a bully, but it still does not in any way excuse his actions. A bully with a troubled past is still a bully.
There's no straightforward definition. I'd say acts of bullying refer to intentional acts of torment which cause physical and/or psychological distress to the receipient.Originally posted by DrTech:Err... how do you define bullying...?
I love to play small pranks on others... don't know if they perceive it as being bullied...

Because I always buddy up with any bully I spot.
