would you mind if your gf/bf is your colleague? what do you think of office romances? why do people think such relationships should not exist in the workplace?

Of coz, there are such cases. Most of the time, after a few yrs, one of them tend to quit n go somewhere esle to work. I thk it is quite difficult to work under same roof becoz other colleagues definitely like to tease the couple!

Actually me and my wife met at my former workplace, she was my staff and me was her manager. We used to be loggerheads but as time passed by, we found attached to each other.Originally posted by FireIce:everyday see so long hours not sian meh........
No doubt that tongues would wag and rumours would fly, but it's up to you to set the difference that work and personal life can be two separate entities. During our course of work, me had not show her any favourtism or bias, and that helped to set yourself differently.
Yes, we do urgued over work but isn't it better for that someone you love understands your work clearly. My wife certainly didn't need to help me to explain much of the policies me set up as my other staff and my boss know how me work.
It's something mental and how you would break through this barrier.

Some of the bosses may not like office romance unless they are married or its a BIG company that the two will not meet. For me, i'll not choose a colleague as bf, i feel weird. Getting intimate with a working partner??

oh,i went to work there loh then things get sour,cause my side and her side were opposite so in the end bye bye hahaaa but anyway there are pros and cons lah it depend on the individual loh

Well, at least mine worked out fine... Eventually both of us left the company as me was headhunted and my wife went to work in another company.
Really it has to depend on the individual to have that understanding, and more importantly how to set things apart while at work. -
