The principal kept this matter very discreet but i heard it from my prefect friend which is the head prefect so he has reliable sources.
This teacher, i call her Mdm X.You see, i believe Mdm X had an argument with a student last year.The lower sec student was unhappy and resorted to violence(if i am not wrong this student was an ex-boyfriend of my classmate).She fell down the stairs and was shamed infront of her class as a result of the fall.The student was dealt with severly and punished to the extent of even being expelled.He kicked her down the flight of stairs.
Mdm X was so ashamed infront of her class that she had a bout of depression ever since.I wondered why i did not see her this year at school, i thought she had some transfer or something.She committed sucide last Saturday, how?That i do not know but it is confirmed to be sucide.
She used to be a career guidance teacher, ironically she ended her own career.

Thing really changed. Last time when we were caught doing something funny, will get wracked and don't dare to tell parent. Cause likely to get wracked again... Parent kids...don't guide properly can be creating things that may also be differicult for the teacher. Can say much.. one thing I can say is that if the student realised what he or she had done later, the guilt feeling is going to haunt him or her for the rest of life.....sighed..

and why kids nowadays become more and more fcukups? because the parents dunno how to control their kids. we can see it from how the inside kids are taking the trains as a playground, and the parents? turning a blind eye to it. sometimes i felt like walking up to the parents and give them a good tight slap. dun they know their kids are causing inconvience to other ppl? is there a law in sg that said if you are in the public and causing disturbance to other ppl, you can call the cops? maybe the trains have to put up a sign to said that for causing disturbance to ppl, you can be fine $500.Originally posted by jewemi: kids nowadays are little fcukups

My condolences Like she used all her efforts to teach and guide the students and not just the student do not reciprocate but kicked her down the stairs...
she must be very "tong xin" that all her teachings are not reciprocated despite her losing of her quality time with her family, even "Mdm" so she is not married because of the students, since teaching no live..

no la, fine the parents can le, cos they will feel the pain of losing $500. of be like wat the police is doing, writing to parents if teens below 17 are found to be outside after 11pm, and fined the parents. Parents du lan, paid the fine den cut the teens allowance to paid for it, so they dun have money to go out and play.

govt should build more girls and boys homes to cater to these kinda fcuked up kids..... close their ass in there until they know how to use their brains to think...but when will that be? heh.. they need some serious discippline...
yeah its true that many patients at IMH were once teachers.... thats what one of my relatives told me and i know quite a few people who are teachers now... some of them thought that teaching's an easy job, plus months of holidays..everything seemed so good to them until they realise that they gotta face a bunch of rascals at work everyday and it's not easy. and further more, nowadays teaching involves more than classroom activities.. they gotta plan stuffs.. attend courses.. blah blah.. lots more to do... its not hard to go insane if you can't handle things well....alot of new teachers slipped into depression because of that... -

I must admit, that if the student kicking her down the staircase and she went into depression and commit sucide, she must be a very cowardy teacher!
But the student is even worse. Is it been battled at court? This student MUST be jailed or put in Boys Home NO MATTER WHAT.
The student was the MAIN person who started it. He was the one that caused the teacher to commit sucide. And such a thing is ILLEGAL and anyone who dares to do it, please GO AND FUCK YOURSELF.

I am really sorry for the teacher and the boy for having to resort to doing such destructive things, but i relly believe that we live at a time where teachers in school right now require real substance and inspiring personalities to truly earn the attention and respect of the students.
I had an english teacher during my 'O' levels who was 65 years old and who easily build rapport with my classmates by occasionally talking cock and scolding vulgarities jokingly with my classmates once in a while. I'd love to see teachers like him dominating the schools of singapore and inspiring students to do well in school and build their personal pride in themselves. -
