I truly sympathise with this guy for his misfortune....
But that's what this whole thing really is: a misfortune. It's simply pure bad luck on his part. Heck, it can also be argued to be negligence on his part for not looking out for that stone fish.
This isn't the United States at all, where you can sue a house owner if you slip and fall on the pavement outside his house.
The fact that the stonefish was there is pure bad luck - it's not as though the Sentosa Corporation deliberately planted it there or anything.
If everyone were to follow in this guy's footsteps (no pun intended), then we'll see the National Parks Board getting sued when someone gets stung by bees at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve.
Likewise, I suppose will LTA get sued if you slipped and fell on a wet and slippery road? And will the National Library Board get sued if a book suddenly fell off a shelf and landed on your head?
Gimme a break.
