the progress quez!!!?

  im getting 800 bucks and i feel happy.
  
  the problem is, i ord from my national service on the 16.01.2006 (so im still an nsf as in 31.12.2005)
  
  so will i get an additional $100 den?
  
  i tried calling the progress help line and it says
  
  "the line is engage at the moment, pls try again later."
  
  btw what is the "MR" stuff sum of you are talking abt?

  Don't worry, you will get $100 along with the progress package, the balance $300 will be paid to you when you finish your ORNS (Operational Ready National Service) 10-years cycle.
  
  As for MR, it denotes as MINDEF Reserve, that's where me's going in 2009 when me finishes my 10-years ORNS cycle.

  And me got only $400 (Growth dividends) + $100 (NS bonus), but happy liao lah. It's something extra, so no need to compare.

  By the way, your 10-years ORNS cycle will only start counting when you go for your 1st ICT, so you hope to have your NS posting soon, don't be like my elder brother who will only finish his 10-years ORNS in 2011 cos he started three years later than me.

  Not quite lah, cos the equation in calculating the growth dividends is with references to monthly salary and also your house value. Maybe because me bought a five-room flat in Queenstown and it's worth more than $600k in the resale market due to prime location to town (only 5 mins bus ride to Orchard, 15 mins to City Hall) and amenities filled area.
