  u want format your disk c then save those stuff at disk D. then u format c and put the stuff back at c then format D

  buy the recovery software from redstone and pray that it works.
  
  anyway...the HDD U are talking about...is it the one that the police took?

  yeh...those selling your hdd after usage and got ever store important credit card or online transaction before better do a clean format of the hdd before selling...also can verify with receovery software to see if the fiile can be seen or accessible via receovery or not...if not beteer format a few more time (use full not quick format) or get some software that wepts out data

  formatted and reformatted is different... which one are u saying? if reformatted, everything gone.. u should have backup yur file b4 reformatting..

  Once you have formatted your HDD, you can definitely forget about all your files.
  
  Unless, you can fork out $400-$500 or more, by bringing the drive to the manufacturer where they can possibly retrieve your data at a higher level of expertise.
  
  Next time, save or back up all your data BEFORE you FORMAT your HDD.

  yes the hdd im talking about is the police case
  just in case they didnt return to me back the files and they reformat my hdd
  as the files is my business and will me earn me about 1.5k-2k /mth
  i dont mind spending 400-500 to get back the files
  but i just want to confirm is it confirm i can get back the files if i pay 400-500 and btw the reformat is done by the police

  it will cost u thousands to recover those files!
  
  i wonder if norton unerase (run from cd), use master boot to windows, then put ur hdd as a slave drive can help....

  this is aquestion we cannot answer only the party doing the receovery can get u the assurance....spend that 400-500 dn question lah good luck to your data.....
  
  now i know spending just a little on data backup, raid with party check is so worth the while hahaha

  it's better u bring the harddisk back to the manufacturer and ask them if u are willing to pay, can get back yur files or not.. we are not experts here.. so we can't give 100% ans..

  I think it all depends on what the police did with ur HDD...if they didnt set out to get rid of ur data...then at least got chance...if not U can forget about it...
  
  I not expert enough to tell U what else to do...cos I not from police computer forensics....U can try bringing ur HDD back to manufacturer and see if they can help U...if they cant....ur chances are very slim liao...

  It's a kind of software to un-erase. But please dont do the same thing again, or you will be arrested again.
