Is it really sad to be without a girlfriend?

I was returning home from work when I was approached by a young girl (about early 20's) for a survey:
She: "You've finished work right? Don't worry it will take just 30 seconds."
Moi: "Ok."
She: "R u married?"
Moi: 'No."
She: "U have girlfriend?"
Moi: "No."
She: "It's so sad. Hope u can find a girlfriend soon."
Moi just smile and walk away.
The thing is, is it really sad to be single, unmarried or wihout girlfriend/boyfriend when u r in your 30s?

she is not doing any survey!!! it's a hoax! she wants you right there and then and you missed ur chance coz' u didnt ask her out!!!

no lah, she is sad cos u cannot help her answer survey, hence the "sad".

but then, sometimes have a gf/wife can be sad thing also... it all depends on ur gf/wife... -

what kind of a dumbass survey is that?? anyway i no GF and im sad. but im only 16. good thing about having no GF is u can look and flirt with all the girls u want =D

It can be very lonely at times.
However, when you do things that you know your gf would be wouldn't like, for example over spending or sian cha bo, then you'll realized that you're glad to be single. I think being single can also mean you're independant and individualistic. -
Dont worry, dont let that gal's comment affect you. You may be in the 30s but so what ? Finding a long term partner takes time, dont hurry for the sake of it. Take your time , find the right one .... then from then on see what happens. Yeah , I am single but I am happy .. I have dated a few gals ... but so far none are my type .... I am a fussy fellow but I just want the best for myself. Not best in looks but best suited for me. Yeah , thats me.

Back when I was young (in my teens and 20s), having a GF is really a primary goal in life.
But now that I'm married, and have known my wife for more than 15 years, I sometimes feel the need to be alone for a couple hours or days!
Not that I don't love her anymore, I just wanted a little time on my own no and then.
This happens to everyone. Girl or Guy. -
When your single, you yearn for a partner. And when your're in a rs, you yearn for singlehood.
