  alfseeto says that, contrary to popular belief, young Singaporeans are not rude.
  
  While eating at a Tiong Bahru hawker centre, he observed that many young Singaporeans acknowledged an old tissue seller politely or bought packets from him. He said older Singaporeans at the hawker centre, however, were very cold towards the tissue seller.
  
  chryzh35, however, writes: 'I don't think age is a factor in a person's attitude towards fellow beings. Our society in general is rude and selfish, always chasing the dollar and most times at all costs.'
