think u need creative keyboard and the program to do itOriginally posted by UltimaOnline:The song in question is David Lanz's "Variations on a Theme from Pachelbel's Canon in D Major".
Can anyone here with a digital piano or keyboard that can record midi files, please perform and record (a near-perfect version of) David Lanz's "Variations on a Theme from Pachelbel's Canon in D Major" as a midi file, and send it to me please?
I've tried asking pianists that I know in real life, but the song is extremely challenging, if the goal is to record a perfect (or near-perfect) performance in a single attempt (ie. without software to cut and paste several attempts).
If anyone (with a musical keyboard or digital piano) is willing to attempt to do this, I have the original score, and can send it to you. (PM me).
You can hear a sample of the actual song here :

Heh yea, I love George Winston's version too. In my opinion, both George Winston's and David Lanz's versions are equally awesome. But slightly different in style and strengths. But both are the best piano arrangements of Pachelbel's Canon out there.Originally posted by shade343:I still prefer George Winston Version of Canon in D. Much Nicer

If you're a pianist and you like to play Pachelbel's Canon, you've got to learn George Winston's and David Lanz's versions, you'll love em even more!
It was for love of George Winston's "Variations on the Kanon", that I one day, suddenly decided to go the Plaza Singapura to buy a piano. Never touched the piano before in my life before that day. That was a couple of years ago. Today, I can comfortably play George Winston's "Variations on the Kanon" on the piano, and am introducing the song to others as well, including those with no prior experience with the piano.
George Winston and David Lanz are two very fine pianists and composers. A toast for them.
Yep. Without absolutely zero background and training in piano, and armed only with my love for Pachelbel's Canon and George Winston's "Variations on the Kanon", I bought a $1000 digital piano one day from Plaza Singapura, and started to learn to play the song.Originally posted by shade343:WHat?
