Actually i have a question, as i am not very good with IT.
Like to ask, if we can share microsoft product key with 2 diff pc ?
(2pc in my home which i wanna load with MS OS etc..)
Can i do that ?
Will it prevent me from registering using the same product key ? -
yar i think cannot..unless its the students edition which allows up to 3 registration..

i may be wrong...
there's two part before u start using...first activate then register. activate is a must (30days for XP), register is optional...

If you bought the products from a shop and it's written as OEM on the CD, no sharing. It will automatically de-register you when you try to register. No doubt you can activate it on both computers, but registering will only work on one of the computers.Originally posted by subarugal:Hummhhh..

If you bought the student's or teacher's edition, sharing is allowed. Up to 3 or 5 comupters. I can't remember.
If you buy family edition, up to 5 is allowed. -

a few missing letters..
what i meant was...dont tick the LU box and u'll be fine..otherwise..yr programme will AU for you.
if the pro is stated as a IU thn if u have one or more IP updating live wit the same reg-key,then u r in trouble..well i tried it last with NA..one in my latop one i my home..they send me an e mal to verify whether if i lsot my cd..haha..haha..

Still can't understand. LU box is what? AU is what? -
Another point to add from my previous experience. OEM license ties with your PC motherboard, therefore once your PC motherboard is fried or burn out for whatever reason, your OEM license goes with it, since OEM license is not transferrable. You are REQUIRED to purchase ANOTHER license for the replacement PC.
