repeater...booster...Originally posted by freakass:Hi guys, I just bought a Linksys WRT54G wireless router. As my house is quite big and my bedroom is quite far away from the router, my notebook can't pick up the wireless signal from the router. (My bedroom and the router are on the same level)
Does anyone know if I can buy anything to extend the range of the wireless signal? Or is there something that can act as a relay to further extend the signal? Thanks a lot! =)

Wonder if he's trying to show off. A plasma in the toilet will sure get electric shock every day. Anyway, if you're sincerely finding an option, go get a new router and Cable Point splitter and attach them.Originally posted by nullifi3d:then you will have no problem affording more than one wireless repeaters.
You sure or not, 50%. My one still getting signal even two floors down. I can walk from one end of the house to the other end of the house with 4 bars out of 5.Originally posted by kaoya:yupz.. it's e walls..
normally e signals can go about a few hundred metres (if i remember correctly?)
but juz passing thru 1 wall, cuts e signal strength by 50% oredi
0.5^6
hehe.. an interesting thing is tt in exhibition halls,
got a lot companies n a lot wireless
e signals interfere wif each other
then e companies try 2 get stronger sets
so tt they signal won't be "squeezed out"![]()
