Bicycle experts needed here..

  one thing i am puzzled though, i never touch my bike for a few mths due to my O lvl last yr, recently i got the feeling to ride again, I found out tat the tire is very soft.. when i bring it to the bicycle shop, only den i found out it is punctured... and i replaced the inner tube.. anyone here could explain y is this so? no nails can be found inside the inner tube.. it jus punctured..

  just lose air lor..think because air can be compressed...therefore whatever happens...it will eventually escape...

  i guess it's like balloon.. overtime, the rubber stretch liao then tiny holes on the rubber expands..
  then become pum chek..

  haha. never mind.. it's ok... haiz.. if like tat very jia lat leh... every few mths never cycle must replace inner tube.. haiz...

  pressure in the tire is higher than that in the air, and it will force itself out through every small silt or pore, this results in less pressure and lost air over time...

  lol i usually go for the more expensive one.. cheap one got 2,3,4 dollars lidat at the shop near my place.. but i dun wanna risk when cycling long distance..

  how much did u pay for the expensive one? this time i paid $8 for the replacement of inner tube.. last time i paid $6...

  Isit your rim tape got hole then your spokes nipple poke through it and make a hole ?

  Apply balloon shrinkage overnight to your tires.
  
  As for inner tube, you probably punctured it months ago. It could a rock that is sharp enough to do that. I punctured mine before, and by the next day, the tire is so soft until got problems bringing to the shop.

  bmx tyres are tougher right?

  think hor, for bicycles rite,
  the more u leave it untouched, the easier the tyres "lose air" (deflates)
  
  same for balls (football, basketball, volleyball)
  
  if frequent use, somehow it doesn't lose air as fast...
  dunno y... from experiecne..

  wads the pressure you all inflate your tires to ? i inflate my tires to 35 psi .
  
  when u cycle the air in the tube becomes hot and EXPAND tats why it will no defate as fast as untouched bikes .
